What did I do?
Founder of Ovillart, responsible for leading the development and growth of the brand across vital areas for business operations.
Building the project
The project revolves around 4 key stages for building the business — centered on brand, product, business and marketing. These were the main design process stages: Brand creation and digital channels, Platform development, Business model creation.
Creating the brand
The Ovillart brand is born from the concept of the Ovillo (Ovi), the manual action of knitting with needles (ll) and artisanship (art). It is an innovative, dynamic brand based on the Japanese concept of Akai ito, known culturally as the 'red thread of destiny', which gives the brand its color.
Aligning the product
The sustainable background of the brand comes from the sale of trapillo and the manual winding process. Product design along with its commercialization (formerly M.A Distribuciones) required creating a new living platform for product marketing and positioning in the market.
Defining digital presence
With the brand values established, I worked to build a visual identity centered on strengthening omnichannel presence and maintaining a clean graphic line focused on showcasing artisanal value and the purpose of weaving projects by hand.
Consolidating a community
With the creation of digital channels, I led the creation of relevant content for the new Ovillart community on the platform and social media. I was also in charge of building relationships with the first KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) linked to the brand.
Creating the platform
For the development of the platform, I used the Design Thinking methodology adapted to the context of Ovillart. This methodology allowed us to build a dynamic and scalable platform focused on the needs of the artisan community and the business model. The stages of the process were: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test, Produce and Iterate.

Business Sales Channels
The main sales channels of Ovillart are WhatsApp Business and the e-commerce platform. WhatsApp Business is used as the main sales and customer service channel, while e-commerce is focused on product sales and community building.
Business Model Creation
The Ovillart business model was built from the data and learnings of M.A Distribuciones (the predecessor brand). Using a Business Model Canvas, I defined the value proposition, key activities, customer segments, revenue streams and cost structure for the new business.
Logistic & Operational Integrations
For the correct operation of the business, I integrated key tools for logistics and operations management: from inventory control, order management and supplier relations, to payment gateway integration, shipping and returns management.
